I am a PhD student, working on measurements of the beam-normal single-spin asymmetry (transverse asymmetry) on 208Pb at MAMI A1.
The transverse asymmetry is an observable change in cross-section for the scattering of electrons that are polarized parallel or antiparallel to the normal vector of the scattering plane on spin-0 target nuclei.
Apart from my research, I am also a representative for the early career researchers in the CRC1660 "Hadrons and Nuclei as Discovery tools". During my studies, I worked as a student operator at the MAMI accelerator.
In my bachelor thesis, I worked on a calorimetric method to measure the hydrogen dissociation efficiency for Project8.
I joined the AG Sfienti for my master master thesis on neutron detection with Scintillators for the N02 Project of the CRC1660.
My road to physics was a long and twisted one, first trying to become a professional cellist and then learning violin making. But in the end, I realized, I was always fascinated by the more fundamental questions of how our world works and what stuff is made of.
Deepening my knowledge of the physical world and communicating it to others is my passion.
